A Professional Fashion Model`s Resume
Every Professional models must have a portfolio that includes photographs and a resume. A
modeling resume or cv is also included with the portfolio. A professional fashion model's resume
Putting together a professional resume should be a must you take on a career path to
fashion,catalogue,lingerie,artist,commercial or child/teen modeling.
the following includes the steps to take in putting together a model`s resume or cv
Point 1
the first 1 0r 2 pages should contain a brief biographical note. This can be between 200 and 500
words and should give a detailed report of *who you are, how and *when you began to pursue
modeling as a career and *specify some of your most prominent modeling assignments.*your birth
date and your *physical attributes. While this information isn't relevant in most traditional
jobs, it does come under consideration when you are working as a model.
Point 2
choose a good resume design. Remember that this resume is different from traditional job
resumes. My advice for you is to have a simple graphic design/format or you can play with colors
that cannot be used in traditional job resumes. But caution is required do not make use of Light
colors (pink, gray, yellow, tan, white or blue) acceptable colors. go simple, but adding a
border will not be a mistake.
Point 3
specify your career objective. This career objective for a model will include

commercial exposure in the fashion industry with possibility of moving into television and film.
But otfen In place of a career objective, you can write a biographical note that describes you
in two or three sentences. Example: "Fashion model with a high level of exposure in national
glossy magazines and catalogues." If you have an agency representation, include the name and
contact information of the agency, along with the name of the contact who handles your career.
Point 4
Enumerate your past modeling experience. Unlike a traditional job resume, you do not need to
start with the most recent and work your way back. In fact, it isn't necessary to list every
modeling assignment you've ever had. The more the better, but you can be selective and tailor a
resume toward a specific assignment. Separate your career history under categories such as
"Print Ads," Theater" and "Catalogue Work." Include the names of the clients you did the work
for and what type of work it was. There is no need to include assignment dates.
