Pants have become an integral part of almost every fashionable woman`s wardrobe today.
In the past women have been known by their dresses and skirt-like garments while men have were to put on trousers, but today it will not be an exaggeration to say that the reverse is the case.
So many articles have been written on the history and origin of women wearing pants and trousers meant for the men folks, so this is not the first among the lot and it will definitely not be the last. According to some related sources,During the late 19th
century, women began wearing trousers and blouses for industrial work and further down the lane , women wore their husbands' trousers while they took on jobs during the World War II. By 1970s, trousers became a fashion statement for women. Several names were given to the type of trousers women wore at those early times, some referred to them as breeches, trousers, trews and so on.But today we call we have so many other options such as full leg, straight leg, caprices, gauchos, jeans, and tailored suits, leggins, and the new trend called jeggins.

Trousers for women in western countries did not become fashion items until the later 20th century, women began wearing men's trousers for industrial work a hundred years earlier. Also women working the ranches of the 19th century American West also wore trousers for riding, and in the early 20th century workers and other working women often wore trousers.

Some women have been slow to accept women putting on pants.A lady had this to say "When I decide to dress up I always go for a dress, not pants. And in heaven`s name how can I wear pants to church.  pants are an integral part of my wardrobe and well as millions of other women's wardrobe. It is hard to believe that as recently as a century ago it was a misdemeanor for a person to wear clothes not "of their sex." California did not make it legal for women to wear pants to the work place until 1995! Thank goodness for jeans, caprices, and sweat pants as well as the women's business suit. When I want to pull a power play or simply lounge at home; I reach for my pants every single time.

Hollywood approved on pants when Marlene Dietrich showcased a pair in the movie Morocco. When World War II began, Rosie the Riveter was seen on posters all over the country wearing overalls. In Britain during the Second World War, because of the rationing of clothing, many women took to wearing their husbands' civilian clothes, including their trousers, to work while their husbands were away in the armed forces. This was partly because they were seen as practical garments of work wear, and partly to allow women to keep their clothing allowance for other uses. As this practice of wearing trousers became more widespread and as the men's clothes wore out, replacements were needed, so that by the summer of 1944 it was reported that sales of women's trousers were five times more than in the previous year
In the 1960s, André Courrèges introduced long trousers for women as a fashion item, leading to the era of the pantsuit and designer jeans and the gradual eroding of the prohibitions against girls and women wearing trousers in schools, the workplace, and fine restaurants.

In Conclusion, I will say that men pants or no men pants, if you think its cool for you to fashionably put on trousers then do it with all dignity, modesty and decorum, because the future to come depends on that.
